This is easy. Drag and drop the file you like to verify on the home page in to the indicated field, or press the link ("select a file on your desktop") to select a file on your computer. The verification tool does the rest.
Your file's unique digital fingerprint is extracted in the browser and checked to see if it was previously registered. Since the unique digital fingerprint of your file is extracted in the browser, the content of your document always remains private.
If the file is a Trusted Digital Document, the verification tool shows all information attached to the document. You can see the name and logo of the registering party, the file name, time of registration, and any additional information added to the document upon registration for context.
In case you need to demonstrate the integrity of the file, or time of registration, beyond dispute, the orange "proof of registration" button will direct you to a third party block explorer so you can see the time stamp and registration on the unique digital signature for yourself on the blockchain.
